TNO has also implemented Fetkovich aquifers. I am not aware of any

further plans regarding numerical or analytical aquifers, perhaps somebody

from TNO (Wessel, Rohith, Frank or Kelvin) can comment on this?

Dear All,

I am working in a solvent model with 511,000 active cells. It is a
conceptual model. So, it has a constant permeability PERMX=PERMY=1000
mD and PERMZ=100 mD and only one PVT em relative permeabilities set.
My runs using MISCIBLE option were very slow and unstable. Flow had to
apply cuts in several timesteps and numerical convergence problems happened
all the time.
Just to compare, I tried a solvent run without the miscible option. I got a
fast and clean run, without numerical convergence problems using the same
data set!
I would like to know if the production results obtained using MISCIBLE
would be significantly different.
Are there other important points I've missed?
The main target for this study is to understand the influence of
waterflood, gas injection and  85% CO2 injection on oil recovery factor.

Dear all,

I have problems using octave in ResInsight. It seems to run octave fine, but it is not able to read in data from ResInsight. I'm running on Ubuntu 18.04, with ResInsight 2018.05.01. ResInsight is using Qt 4.8.7.

When running the following simple script:

disp('Hello world');
a=2*3;
a
SOIL = riGetActiveCellProperty("SOIL");

it gives the following output in the ResInsight Process Monitor window:


12:55:55 Process starting

Hello world

a = 6

panic: Segmentation fault -- stopping myself...

attempting to save variables to 'octave-workspace'...

save to 'octave-workspace' complete

octave exited with signal 11

12:55:55 Process finished

Any suggestions?

The Carter-Tracy analytical aquifer is already implemented in OPM (and therefore the keywords AQUCT, AQUANCON, AQUTAB) and is available with the 2018.10 release. We are currently implementing the Fetkovich aquifer and is expected to be a part of the 2019.04 release.
