Stian,

I see that nobody has replied to your questions, probably because,
although the most of the developers are back from vacation, there are
still operating in "vacation mode":-)

First of all I don't know if there is a plan to implement ROCKTAB;
however, any contributions to extending the functionality of OPM Flow
are always very warmly appreciated. I don't like giving out email
contacts in lists, but if you go here: https://opm-project.org/?p=1385
then you can contact Atgierr who will know more about the development
road map.

Some general guidelines for implementing features are:

 1. Make small commits so that the reviewers can review the code more
easily, rather than one complete code set. Also this will also give
you some feedback on the coding standards for the project and gain
some hints and advice. Note that there are variety of personalities
involved with the project from the jovial to the abrupt, so don't
take any offense in the feedback you get, it's just their
personality. Everybody are always willing to help, especially
    helping new developers.
 2. Implementing the keyword/feature consists of:
     1. Actual implementation and setting up test case(s).
     2. Adding any resulting SUMMARY variables to the summary file -
        this is relatively straight forward.
     3. Adding the appropriate data to the RESTART file in order to
restart a run or for display purposes. This is for "real" men
and women and may best left for one of the core developers due
to having to reverse engineer the output format.
     4. Updating the manual. I can do this, I just need to know what has
been implemented compared with the commercial simulator.

Good luck and enjoy the ride.
